NaviPlus.png

NaviPlus is an augmented reality (AR)–based procedural guidance system designed for the treatment of herniated lumbar discs. It assists clinicians in accurately injecting medication into the target site by visualizing the patient’s anatomy and guiding the needle trajectory in real time. This system enhances accuracy, reduces procedure time, and improves both safety and treatment outcomes in spinal interventions.

at Korea Institute of Science and Technology (KIST)

The Medical Navigation Lab. (MNL) at KIST focuses on developing next-generation digital surgery and healthcare systems (Surgery 4.0) by integrating artificial intelligence, medical imaging, augmented/virtual reality, and surgical robotics. Our research covers patient-specific 3D modeling, surgical planning, navigation, and non-invasive therapeutic platforms, with the goal of creating innovative medical devices that enhance surgical precision, improve patient safety, and contribute to the digital transformation of healthcare.
